Forrest Elementary School earns Hampton Green School Award
Forrest Elementary School received the 2012 Hampton Green School Award on Oct. 16 from the Hampton Clean City Commission.
According to a press release, Forrest Elementary School students earned the award in part by helping to make the International Children’s Festival a litter-free event.
The award is given to schools for their accomplishments in litter prevention, recycling, beautification, energy and water conservation, environmental stewardship activities and opportunities and the integration of environmental education into both classroom and extracurricular activities.
Forrest Elementary School is at One Franklin St., Hampton.
