Cary school releases kindergarten supplies list
John B. Cary Elementary School has released the supply list for kindergarten.
The needed supplies include a full-size backpack without wheels, two one-inch binders, four pocket folders, one composition book that is not spiral, four boxes of eight large crayons, five large glue sticks, 3-by-5 index cards, two long pink erasers, one plastic pencil box and one pair of Fiskars scissors.
Suggested items for the classroom include hand sanitizer, antibacterial soap, two boxes of tissues and two boxes of baby wipes.
Items that will be needed at home to do homework include a box of eight basic color crayons, a pair of children's scissors, pencils and a glue stick.
Some supplies may need to be restocked during the school year.
The 2012 through 2013 school year for John B. Cary Elementary School students starts Tuesday, Sept. 4.
