Hampton police seek suspect in armed robbery at auto parts store
The Hampton Police Division is seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect in the armed robbery of an auto parts store last week.
According to a Hampton police report, the robbery occurred at 8:21 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at Advance Auto Parts, 5103 W. Mercury Blvd. The suspect entered the store, displayed a gun and demanded cash, the report said.
The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion. He was about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a tan baseball cap, white T-shirt, dark-colored jeans and white tennis shoes. The suspect's face was covered with a black stocking cap. He was last seen fleeing south on Wickham Avenue on foot.
