Hampton business wins Best of the Best Award
The Houston Business Roundtable (HBR) awarded local business Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. its Best of the Best award in the large contractor category at its 25th Annual Safety Excellence Awards Banquet in Galveston, Texas.
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. earned the award as a result of reaching 410,000 work hours with zero lost time incidents (LTIs) at the AkzoNobel Functional Chemicals Battleground project. The group also went 4,989 days with no LTIs at its Merichem Houston project site. AkzoNobel and Merichem recommended Jacobs for the award.
“Words cannot express my delight in accepting the HBR recognition,” Jacobs Group Vice President Phil Stassi said in a press release. “Receiving the “Best of the Best, Large Contractor” demonstrates to our employees worldwide that obtaining five-plus years without an injury is not only possible, it’s being accomplished at our very own sites.”
