Hampton police seeks public's assistance in locating robbery suspect
The Hampton Police Division is asking for help in identifying a suspected burglar accused of robbing the Kecoughtan Road 7-Eleven around 3 a.m. Tuesday, June 19.
According to a press release from the division, police received an e911 call stating that someone was robbing the convenience store. When officers arrived, the release noted, they were told that the suspect, an African-American male, described as 20 to 26 years old, about 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 fee,t 9 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds, entered the store, said he was armed and demanded money. After getting an unknown amount of cash, the suspect ran from the store toward the Powhatan Parkway.
The report also said the suspect wore a red hooded sweatshirt, a white T-shirt, black sweatpants and a black bandanna over his face.
