Hampton University School of Business will host National Conference on Intermodal Transportation
The Hampton University School of Business will host the National Conference on Intermodal Transportation from Oct. 11 to Oct. 12 at Hampton University, 11 Frissell Ave., Hampton.
The conference will focus on the problems, practices and policies regarding intermodal transportation.
Attendees will have to opportunity to take part in a variety of presentations. These presentations, made by researchers and practicing professionals, will share the challenges of urban growth, shrinking transportation budgets and opportunities from globally competitive trade.
In attendance, there will be representation stemming from different modes of transportation, such as air, rail, road and water.
There will also be transportation service providers, state and city policy makers, advocacy groups and academicians in attendance, discussing the problems, practices and possible policies of intermodal transportation.
