Sandy Bottom Park offers 24-hour Overnight Wilderness Survival event
Sandy Bottom Nature Park will offer a 24-hour Overnight Wilderness Survival program from 10 a.m. June 29 to 10 a.m. to June 30.
People who attend will learn from a park ranger what to do when lost in the woods. They will learn how to start a fire, find safe drinking water, find food and how to build shelter. They will then spend the night in the woods.
The program, for people ages 8 and over, is $10. People must register by 3 p.m. June 26.
Sandy Bottom Nature Park is at 1255 Big Bethel Road in Hampton.
