Hampton residents set to vote in primaries
Registered voters in Hampton will be able to vote in the dual-party primary for the U.S. Senate in the Republican Party and the Commonwealth’s Attorney in the Democratic Party on Tuesday, June 12.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The polling place for residents in the Wythe area has been relocated from Wythe Elementary School to the Hampton Senior Center, 3501 Kecoughtan Road, Hampton.
The last chance for absentee voting in person is from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at the Voter Registrar’s Office, 1919 Commerce Drive, Suite 280, in Hampton.
Voters may vote in only one of the primaries, and the new voter ID law is not in effect, so election officials will continue to follow the same ID procedures as in the past.
