Route 58 concrete project begins
The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced a concrete project on a 5-mile stretch of Route 58.
The construction will take place from Route 653 to 1 mile west of Route 35. The project is expected to be completed Sept. 21.
The project is being completed by Hi-Way Paving, Inc. The concrete project will rehabilitate the existing lanes of Route 58. Full-depth reconstruction, patching and overlaying will take place.
The project will be completed in three phases. The construction will require traffic shifts and lane closures.
