Hampton to host OpSail 2012 Virginia
The city of Hampton will host OpSail 2012 Virginia from June 1 to June 12 in recognition of the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the "Star-Spangled Banner."
The 12-day event will begin with the annual Blackbeard Pirate Festival from June 1 to June 3 and will end with a procession of ships leaving the Chesapeake Bay for Maryland on June 12.
Activities will take place at the downtown waterfront at 756 Settlers Landing Road in Hampton.
