Hampton Police Division investigating homicide, officer-involved shooting
Four people are dead after a domestic dispute in the unit block of Ravenscroft Lane on Wednesday, April 18.
Hampton Police Division reported placing four officers on paid administrative leave after Virginia Beach resident Travis Williams, 38, was killed during a shoot-out with police.
Police say at 3:49 a.m., they responded to numerous complaints of a domestic dispute to discover a seriously injured Carla Williams, 38, who died about an hour later at Riverside Hospital, according the a Hampton Police Division news release.
During the initial investigation, police and Travis Williams exchanged gunfire. Officers shot Williams, who died just after 5 a.m. at Riverside Hospital, according to the release.
Throughout the commotion, a fire erupted and when Hampton firefighters arrived to the house, they found two others dead, Hampton resident Katie Frye,76, and Tori Williams, 1, according to the release.
