Simple assault reported in the 5000 block of Mercury Blvd

An instance of simple assault was reported at a parking lot or garage in the 5000 block of Mercury Blvd on Monday, according to the Newport News Police Department. The report, number 201254491, came from the south precinct, in beat 13 and report area 201. The case is under further investigation.
